In July 2002, Professor Wang graduated from the Department of Political Science at the School of International Relations, Renmin University of China, with a Doctorate in Political Science. From September 2002 to September 2004, he conducted post-doctoral research on constitutional science at the Law School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
Professor Wang has served as a visiting scholar or senior research scholar at prestigious institutions such as Harvard University in the United States, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, National Chengchi University in Taiwan, the University of Tokyo in Japan, Stanford University in the United States, and Cambridge University in the United Kingdom.
In addition to his academic roles, Professor Wang has served as invited researcher of the Research Center for Cross-Strait Relations of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council; invited expert of the Taiwan popular sentiment advisory group of the National Taiwan Federation; director of the National Taiwan Research Association; director of the National Hong Kong and Macao Research Association; director of The Law Institute on Cross-strait Relations, China Law Society; member of the Expert Steering Group of the Shanghai Cross-Strait Studies Association; adjunct professor at the Taiwan Studies Center of Fudan University; and member and researcher of the Academic Committee of the Taiwan Studies Center of Xiamen University.
