Dr. Wang Xutian, born in December 1963 in Yushu, Jilin, is an accomplished scholar with a Doctorate in Political Science. He currently holds several significant positionsd at Renmin University of China. He serves as the Director of the Department of Political Science, Deputy Director of the Institute of Contemporary Chinese Politics, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor in School of International Studies.

Dr. Wang was selected as part of the Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University (NCET) of the Ministry of Education, as well as a National Candidate for the New Century Hundreds of Thousands of Talents Project, jointly appointed by the Ministry of Personnel, Ministry of Education and five other national Ministries and Commissions. Additioally, he serves as the executive director of China Modern History Society, member of the Young and Middle-aged Expert Committee of the China Foundation for Human Rights Development, and an academic consultant of the monthly journal Modern History of China.

Over the years, Professor Wang has published numerous papers in esteemed journals including Teaching and Research, CPC History Studies, Modern Chinese History Studies, Journal of Studies of China's Resistance War Against Japan, Journal of Historical Science, Historical Research, Social Science Journal, Academic Forum and Changbai Journal. He is the author of Localism and Chinese Politics and co-author of Modern Political History of China. Among his publications, some have received recognition such as the “Outstanding Scientific Achievements in Philosophy and Social Science” award from both Beijing and Renmin University of China.
